Reliability before complexity
An assessment platform must work when the examination begins. Nothing makes up for an exam that fails.
Juwazi is building the infrastructure behind it: the technology organizations need to create, deliver, manage and understand assessments digitally. We’re starting with computer-based testing. We’re building something much bigger.
A school wants to know whether a student understands mathematics.
A university wants to know whether an applicant is ready.
A company wants to know whether a candidate has the skills a role requires.
A training organization wants to know whether its learners understood what they were taught.
A professional body wants to know whether a candidate has met the required standard.
For generations, organizations have answered that question with paper, manual processes and fragmented systems. The way we learn, work and use technology has changed. The infrastructure around assessment hasn’t kept up.
The problem isn’t that organizations don’t assess. It’s that they’re forced to do it the hard way.
AI can write an essay, solve a problem or produce an answer in seconds. So organizations increasingly need to know what a person actually knows, can apply and can do on their own. AI doesn’t make assessment less important. It makes trustworthy assessment more important.
And AI readiness begins with digital readiness. Learners shouldn’t be expected to leap from paper straight into an AI-powered world. There’s a progression, and Juwazi begins with the first step.
Millions of learners are entering a world shaped by digital technology and artificial intelligence. They shouldn’t have to meet that future without first experiencing its foundations.
A student taking a digital examination is doing more than answering questions. They’re learning to work with technology.
A teacher creating a digital assessment is doing more than setting a test. They’re part of the digital transformation of education.
An organization replacing paper with digital assessment is doing more than saving time. It’s building a measurable, data-informed future.
For more than two years, an educational institution of around 200 students has run its assessments on Juwazi: about two every term, on laptops, managed by its IT Director.
At one point the institution moved to another platform. After repeated problems, they came back. Their reason was simple: Juwazi worked. Examinations ran smoothly, with very few connectivity or capacity issues.
That experience became our first principle: reliability isn’t a feature. It’s the foundation.
That institution is our first proof, not our limit. If Juwazi can be trusted with one organization’s assessments, the same infrastructure can serve schools, universities, employers, professional bodies and public programmes.
Juwazi isn’t a school management system, an LMS, an exam-prep marketplace or another AI app. Assessment is our category. Infrastructure is our ambition. Here’s how we get there.
Computer-based testing: the core engine for running digital tests and examinations.
Question banks, approval workflows, cohorts and candidates, permissions, scheduling, results.
Performance analytics, topic-level analysis, cohort comparisons and progress over time.
APIs, integrations, embedded assessments and large-scale delivery for other systems to build on.
AI-assisted question design, analysis, interpretation and competency mapping, on top of reliable infrastructure.
AI will make Juwazi more intelligent. It will never be the reason Juwazi is unreliable. See what’s coming for developers
We begin in Africa, not because it’s a smaller version of another market, but because African organizations have real assessment problems that deserve technology designed for their realities. Infrastructure that works here can work anywhere.
Where we start, and home of our first proof. Built for real connectivity, devices and budgets.
From schools to employers, professional bodies and public programmes: every organization that assesses people.
A global assessment infrastructure layer for organizations everywhere.
Six principles shape every decision we make. Before we build anything, we ask: does this make assessment more reliable, accessible, useful or intelligent for organizations?
An assessment platform must work when the examination begins. Nothing makes up for an exam that fails.
Teachers, administrators and organizations should be able to use Juwazi without becoming technology experts.
We’re building an engine organizations can depend on, not a collection of disconnected features.
The organization is our customer. The person being assessed is who it’s all for.
We design for real connectivity, devices, budgets, education systems and levels of technical expertise.
Assessment shouldn’t end when someone clicks Submit. Results should help organizations understand performance.
If the answer is no, it isn’t ready. Because an assessment is never just a collection of questions. It can decide:
That deserves infrastructure people can trust. Trust is our product. The interface is just how you experience it.
This is why we build. Not simply to put examinations on computers.
But to help organizations move assessment forward, one assessment at a time.
Whether you run a school, a hiring programme, a professional examination or a national initiative, tell us what you assess. We’ll show you what it looks like on Juwazi.
